I have taken this ongoing class for almost a year and it has helped me tremendously with my Japanese studies. Every meeting focuses on a specific topic, and my vocabulary has increased by leaps and bounds. Kelsey is a very kind, knowledgeable and engaging teacher who understands how to teach Japanese vocabulary and grammar in a fun way. For me, immersion-style learning is a perfect fit and I'm now taking Kelsey's Level 3 class for intermediate learners. ありがとう、先生！

Reading hiragana as gotten easier ever since I joined the club, this class is also highly entertaining.

I very much enjoy the time I spend in Immersion Japanese, as I feel like it has greatly helped my Japanese learning while also being a fun and amiable environment to practice speaking and listening to Japanese. Our teacher is amazing at explaining concepts and helping my classmates and myself improve our Japanese.
I have loved this class for the past several years, and feel it has seriously improved or at least maintained my Japanese level. It is a wonderful feeling to share a language with a group of people and learn with them in only that language - I will definitely miss that. Thank you so much for all you do, all of your changes to the classes, running the social events, and open discussion questions. It has always been fun, educational, and encouraged me to speak up and give it my best shot even when I wasn't very confident. I am deeply grateful for you and your classes' impact on me through high-school and before.
My time here at the club has been both fun and educational. I have had a great time learning Japanese with this program, and always look forward to participating in the classes.
This class is really helpful, and fun. And I love that there's finally people who've heard of some of the anime that I know.
I have had a great time here learning all about Japanese in a very fun and informative way. My teacher always keeps the class engaged, and makes Japanese really fun to learn about. Through this program I have learned so many things about the language and culture of Japanese that I don't think I could learn anywhere else.

I have loved all of Kelsey’s classes. He is the best! The immersion Japanese club is fun, interactive, and I learn something new every time. I always look forward to this class and all of the resources he offers, particularly the Watch Parties!!!
Mr. Kelsey's way of learning is fun and easy to understand. I feel like he really cares about what he is doing, because he will spend extra time in class to answer questions and help anyone out. He is very professional during all meetings. His idea of turning Japanese material into comprehensive lessons throughout the month is very digestible. Everyone in sessions participates in answering questions, so it's very engaging.
10/10 class would recommend for any Japanese learner.
The immersion and teachers help really set the mood, and has helped me a lot, especially with grammar!
Besides my deep likeness for Japanese, my time that I have spent in this club has been no less than amazing. This club has probably become my favorite class, and it's not necessarily stressful either. Sure, one should probably study what they have learned the week before, but it is not required. Our teacher tends to display things in a really fun way as well. But overall, this club is so darn awesome
